Listen and Download: J. Cole and Nas Team Up for "Let Nas Down (Remix)" MP3
Nas just reaffirmed how incredible of an artist he is by clearing the air about one of the newest J. Cole tracks. The song "Let Nas Down" on J. Cole's recent Born Sinner album is a reference to J. Cole being a lifetime fan of Nas and then finding out that he hated Cole's debut single "Work Out" from his previous album. Nas delivers a response to "Let Nas Down" by adding his own verse on the song. Instead of letting him down, he encourages him with advice on working with Jay-Z, labels and future pressure. He even goes as far to say how he "plays Born Sinner loud", and how he "Made Nas Proud". It gives me goosebumps hearing Nas give J. Cole so much respect, who idolizes the man.

Nas has responded to J. Cole's "Let Nas Down" with a masterful remix. If you're somehow late on this one, this is the Born Sinner joint where Cole dissects the instance when he heard through No I.D. that his idol wasn't feeling his radio-friendly sound. Well now everything has come full circle with the Queensbridge hip hop legend dropping a dope response track. He manages to still tell stories and come off as humble as ever while reassuring Cole that he has faith in him. One of his standout lines includes "While you was writing down my rhymes, I was just tryna show you that if you say what's in your mind, you could stand the test of time/Now I'm playing Born Sinner loud." It's always a good day when there's a new Nas verse drops. Stream his "Let Nas Down" remix below.
